Is a Site Down for You or everyone ?
I just wanted to share some links wich can be usefull sometimes, so nothing special in this article sorry dudes. It can happen that some time you just wake up and see one of your favorite website is not loading at all. It can be a little annoying when it’s time to a PTC Still there are some people who are quickly worried and start to wonder: “Euh this Paid to Click is another scam? Should I open a dispute with Paypal and Payza?”
Well, the answer is clearly NO It doe not mean the site turned bad. I am not going on the technical part because this is so long and very difficult to explain but there are severals reasons a site can be offline. Sometime it can be just a network problem, a server maintenance, a hosting changement, ect. But keep in mind if a site need a maintenance whatever it is, this is to serve you better, do you like visiting a broken site ? Personnaly I hate. So here we go. If you want to be sure if a website is offline only for you or for everybody, you should check out this sites. You just need to enter the domain name of the site, then the result will confirm if it’s down for you or everyone.
If they are down only for you, then you can try to clean your cache and coockies to make sure your browser has the latest version of the site. I think most of us use Cclearner for this… If it doen’t worked you can aslo try to clear your DNS cache, basicaly in:
– Windows: open cdm.exe command then enter “ipconfig /flushdns ” and press “Enter” You should a see messsage “Successfully flushed the DNS cache”
– Linux: the nscd daemon is mainly used to manage the client DNS cache and you need to restart it with the following “sudo /etc/init.d/nscd restart ” For Ubuntu, you may need to use firstly “sudo aptitude install nscd”
But as said, there are differents possibilities to have a website offline, you don’t need to panic immediatly. It can even happen to some big sites, there is no exception.
Of course when the webiste is down and you can not access it since more than one day this is another question, specialy when we are talking about Paid To Click sites and know how they can quickly turn with a not paying label.
